Macon Industries Announces the Expansion of their Steel Fabrication Division with the Acquisition of Increased Shop and Equipment capacity.

Macon Fabrication expanding into Campbell River and Chemainus, BC

With respect of the previous NFE Manufacturing Inc. carrying their name and business for over 120 years. Macon Industries wishes to utilize the equipment and land purchases to further their outstanding custom fabrication abilities throughout Vancouver Island and beyond. 

What the Macon Fabrication team will bring to British Columbia 

With the addition of 26,000 square feet of shop space, full machine shop, sand blasting and mobile field crews, this acquisition will support Macon’s expansion into the local custom Fabrication Market. Having locations in North, Central and South Vancouver Island and being backed by Macon Industries’ Administrative, Processing and design strengths, it will increase the spectrum of services Macon Fabrication will be able to provide to the industry. 

Who is Macon Industries

Macon Industries was founded on Vancouver Island in 2006 by Matt Conley. Macon and has grown to be a Worldwide provider of Exploration and Mining equipment. With grass roots from the repair and custom fabrication industry, the acquisition of the additional Nanaimo Foundry and Strikers land, buildings and equipment will allow an increase in capacity and skill set to be able to support the need for high quality fabrication and machining work on Vancouver Island.

Matthew Conley 

Matt started his welding career in 2001 with a Nanaimo based welding, fabrication, and repair company. This led to a diversified experience in repair welding, custom fabrication, machining, and mobile services. With a passion for business Matt entered the drilling industry by founding Macon Industries in 2006. This was a fabrication partnership to design and build what led to one of the most popular and widely operated diamond core drills used around the world to this day. Matt’s passion for constant improvement and team culture has contributed to the growth of Macon Industries and the group of partnerships that work together to provide the solutions their clients need.

Chris Sutton 

Chris started in the Welding/Fabrication Industry in 2005. Spending the beginning of his Career running service trucks on the island and within the Alberta region he gathered a wide variety of skills with unique challenges. He used these hands-on skills as a fabricator to propel Macon Industries’ design team forward with practical solutions for their equipment needs. He is excited to grow the Custom Fabrication division of Macon and give back to the community that established his career.

He has always been passionate about the trade and has found great satisfaction successfully completing a wide range of intricate projects.
