Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Receiver/Shipper & Shop Hand to join our Macon team. You will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, organizing parts for production, and supporting the assembly team with daily operations. You will work both indoors and outdoors and must be comfortable working in all weather conditions as part of your regular duties.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, confirm vendor supplied components for customers’ orders, and report any inventory discrepancies, including shortages and damage
- Pack and prepare goods for FTL, LTL and small parcel shipping, ensuring secure and safe packaging
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts
- Support the assembly team by organizing parts and materials, keeping the shop clean including sweeping and moving inventory as needed
- Maintain an organized yard by stacking pallets and ensuring all parts & materials are stored in designated areas to avoid clutter or disorganizatioKeep a safe and clean work environment by complying with policies, procedures and regulations
- Ensure that tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Actively promote safe working practices, follow good warehouse practices, and participate in continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid forklift operating certificate is an asset
- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is an asset
- Must meet all Health and Safety standards and lift a minimum of 25kg
- Comfortable using basic shop tools and equipment
Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
