Parksville, British Columbia, Canada

The Electrical Assembly Technician assembles and tests electrical components and systems based on schematics and drawings to ensure proper functionality. They troubleshoot issues, document configurations and modifications, and may travel to client sites for installation and startup support. The role also includes assisting with non-electrical assembly, operating hand and power tools, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Candidates must be Journeyman Electricians with at least 10 years of experience and a strong understanding of AC and DC power systems. Attention to detail, physical capability, and a valid passport are essential for success in this role.

• Assemble electrical components and subcomponents from schematics and drawings
• Preform test to ensure product functionality is as expected
• Trouble shooting any issues that arise in the shop. Provide installation and startup support for clients (may require travel to client sites).
• Document configurations and modifications on shop drawings, working closely with Design, Sales and Project Coordinator team members.
• Assisting the assembly team in assembling nonelectrical components on our equipment as required
• Perform tasks involving physical labour and operate hand and power tools
• Keep shop and work area clean and free of debris
• Other duties as assigned

• Journeyman electrician with 10 years experience minimum
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings
• Must understand both AC and DC power systems
• Industrial Electrical and Mechanical experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
• Physically capable of being on feet all day and lift 50+ pounds regularly
• Valid passport
• Motivated self-starter and able to take initiative in the workplace
• Good communication skills both written and verbal in the English language.
• Ability to work in a team environment or individually with a positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation for getting to and from work
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
