Job Summary:

The IT Coordinator will manage and support all aspects of Macon Industries’ information technology systems, ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable operations across the organization. This role is responsible for user account management, daily IT support, hardware and software maintenance, mobile and phone systems, IT onboarding and offboarding, ERP support, cybersecurity, and IT documentation. The IT Coordinator will coordinate with external IT providers, maintain IT assets and software licenses, enforce cybersecurity protocols, and assist with ERP implementation and troubleshooting. This role requires a proactive problem solver who can support employees, minimize downtime, and ensure IT systems and processes align with company standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in IT support and systems administration, strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of cybersecurity practices, and the ability to manage multiple IT functions while providing excellent service to staff.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and system security; maintain account records and ensure cybersecurity compliance.
  • Provide front-line support for hardware, software, email, printing, and connectivity issues; escalate complex problems to external IT provider while maintaining communication; minimize downtime.
  • Manage office phone systems and company mobile devices; track inventory and billing; review vendor pricing.
  • Execute IT onboarding and offboarding; prepare devices, configure access, provide basic training, and secure company data.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment; track lifecycle, coordinate repairs/replacements, assist with procurement, and recommend hardware standards.
  • Promote security best practices, support audits and updates, ensure adherence to web safety protocols.
  • Assist with ERP implementation and rollout; support users with ERP navigation; track and manage software licenses; recommend cost-saving adjustments.
  • Create and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and guides; standardize IT processes and tools.
  • Ensure proper file storage, backups, and cloud/SharePoint usage best practices.
  • Provide on-site support for network interruptions and hardware failures; coordinate with external IT support; ensure consistent IT use.
Requirements:
  • Experience with user account management, permissions, and basic cybersecurity practices; familiarity with Microsoft 365 and authentication systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to support non-technical users; familiarity with network, hardware, and software support.
  • Experience with phone systems, mobile devices, and vendor coordination; attention to detail in tracking assets and billing.
  • Ability to train new users; familiarity with account provisioning and secure offboarding processes.
  • Organizational skills; experience managing IT assets and procurement; understanding of hardware lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, phishing prevention, and web safety compliance.
  • Experience with ERP systems and software license management; ability to train and troubleshoot users.
  • Strong documentation skills; ability to develop SOPs and maintain updated processes.
  • Knowledge of data management, cloud storage, and backup systems.
  • Basic network troubleshooting; coordination with external IT vendors; ability to maintain system uptime.
  • Motivated self-starter and able to take initiative in the workplace.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal in the English language.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or individually with a positive attitude.
  • Reliable transportation for getting to and from work.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
